All reverse camera’s need to be hardwired to the reverse light bulb as a trigger to send a signal to the monitor when the car is in reverse gear.
As for the monitor power source, they either come with a 12v cigarette lighter plug or loose wire. The loose wire will require hardwiring, whereas the 12v cigarette plug will not. If you would like to free up the wires from the dash, the cigarette 12V socket can be hardwired using an adaptor hardwiring kit, please advise our team if you wish to use this option.
