Our Policies

Cancellations and Rescheduling

We want to make sure that everybody’s appointment is serviced by the best car wash professionals available. It takes us time to find the right car detailing professional for you as we have to consider location, date, time and how long the service will take. And because we need to plan in advance, this is why we ask for early notice for all cancellations and rescheduling requests. A $50 cancellation fee or 50% of your service cost, whichever is higher may be charged for cancellations due to administration and time cost. However in the matter that you would like to reschedule then you will be charged with no fee, under the circumstance that the rescheduled date is within the next 2 weeks and notified to us by a call with at least 24 hours notice to your original booking allocation.

Damage & Loss Policy

Even though we recommend the removal of all valuables and possessions from the vehicle prior to your car wash service, in the case of damage or loss, please follow this procedure. If such an event occurs, this must be communicated to us within 24 hours of service by email, in writing, so that our team can investigate your matter further.

Hazardous Condition Policy

If your property is deemed a hazardous cleaning situation that goes over and above our normal cleaning environment included in our car wash packages, our car wash professionals have the right to decline the offer. Upon such a service, you will be charged a $50 booking fee or up to 50% of the service price (whichever is higher) as a holding fee for reserving your space in our schedule. Hazardous conditions may include, but not limited to, human/pet waste, sharp objects, weapons, toxic spills, insect infestation, mould, diseases,  and so on. Same applies to vehicles parked in a non-serviceable area i.e illegal parking, right next to traffic, less than 2 feet availability surrounding the vehicle (obstruction-free) – all of which expose our Sydney car detailers in a vulnerable and dangerous situation.

Is there an additional charge for larger vehicles?

At Schmicko, we service everything from your nifty micro hatchbacks to caravans and mini trucks, yes the whole lot. Because we receive vehicles in all sorts of sizes and shapes, we do charge a higher price for larger vehicles. As you can imagine, the time take to clean a truck in comparison to a small hatchback would be up 2 to 3 times longer in time required.

Due to the extra time and supplies necessary to complete the job, we have separate pricing for each vehicle type/size for each car detailing package, this will apply to both interior and exterior car detailing. Please refer to the booking page to view the pricing differences for larger vehicle types. Upon selection of your vehicle type and package, you will see the booking summary update with the new price.

 

How do I know if I need a Deep Clean Extra?

If your vehicle is deemed dirty beyond the typical/average car, additional time, cleaning agents, equipment and effort will be required to restore your vehicle to a clean condition. For this reason, we have the additional extra add-on ‘Deep Clean’, which can be selected if your vehicle is in a state that contains excess or uncommon pollutants.

So do you need a deep clean added to your booking?

Great question, ask yourself, does your car have the following:

  1. Soiled with mud/dirt/dust
  2. Grass embedded in fabrics
  3. Sand
  4. Pet fur/hair
  5. Road grime on side panels
  6. Excessive bug guts, bird droppings, tree sap and road tar
  7. Excess rubbish
  8. Excess staining
  9. Beverage/Liquid spills

You should also ask yourself

  1. When was the last time you had your car washed? If we are talking months, then most likely you will need to apply for extra time. We are assigned a set amount of time to perform your car wash package, so the more time spent on one area beyond the assigned time, the less time we have for other areas of the vehicle. At least with a deep clean, we can split time accordingly to ensure the necessary areas are tackled effectively.
  2. Did you just take it on a long road trip or regularly travel?
  3. Is this your work vehicle and do you carry many tools or deliver products?
  4. Do you travel with kids or pets often?
  5. Do you tend to eat in the car often?

Of course, these are just some questions to consider and not all cars are driven equally. However, our Car Wash Professionals are trained to inspect vehicles prior to cleaning and will determine whether a vehicle may require a Deep Wash if necessary.

What time do you operate and where?

Our large team of automotive detailing experts service pretty much all of Sydney.

  • Our car wash professionals operate from 8am to 5pm, but if you wish to work outside these hours, we may still be able to accommodate, just get in touch with us so we can arrange something. Especially during the hot Summer season and during day light savings, we may provide extra flexibility given that there are workable conditions.

Do your car wash professionals come fully equipped?

Yes, they certainly do. Fully equipped with professional cleaning equipment for a thorough clean that is both safe and gentle on the car interior and exterior.  All we need are your keys and an access point to water & electricity, the rest we will handle from bonnet to bumper.

What if I need many vehicles cleaned?

Cleaning multiple vehicles can be performed, as we most often deal with fleet management for corporate company cars. So if you have a particular request, we’d love to get in touch.

If we are onsite, you are more than welcome to add in more vehicles to your existing booking, given that we have enough time to do so. Please do notify us with early notice so that we can schedule the day accordingly and shuffle bookings where necessary.

What car detailing services do you offer?

We offer a large range of packages to ensure that we have the perfect package for you.

We have interior detailing, exterior detailing, basic car washing, mini car detailing, pre-sale car detailing, paint protection and the whole lot.

Can I pay with cash?

Unfortunately not. We operate off a simple cashless system through our online booking system that accepts Credit Cards. For security reasons, using a cashless system ensures greater safety and convenience for both customer and professional as there is no cash on the premises.

How do recurring plans work?

To sign up for a recurring plan, place a booking on the Schmicko website. You’ll be able to select a frequency (weekly, fortnightly, monthly) add any additional services, and pay for your first booking. After your first booking, your next recurring car washes will be scheduled automatically for the same time and day based on the frequency you selected and you’ll be billed after the service has been completed.

What do I need to do just before my appointment?

Once you have made your booking and ready for your car wash professional to arrive. Please do the following:

  • Remove all valuables and items from the car such as clothing, drink bottles and etc. The last thing you’d want is for our vacuum cleaners to suck up your belongings, keep them stored away safely. This also includes removing items from the trunk/boot.
  • Be ready to greet our friendly Schmicko Car Wash Professional, depending on your car wash package, we may need your keys.
  • Please allow a parking space for our professional to park their vehicle. It makes it a whole lot easier to bring across all the relevant cleaning tools and equipment.
  • Be prepared to show where the outdoor water tap is and an accessible power point outlet closest to your vehicle.
  • Relax! We will let you know when we are done and hand over your keys to a flawlessly clean car.
